Previous reviewers said there was no logic to the layout, I disagree, I thought it was very well put together and what an incredible collection, from fossils to meteorites, old coins to Egyptian artifacts including a mummy, live reptiles to Roman and prehistoric

Dinosaurs, Ancient Egypt, animals, archeology, and so on. There is lots to discover and lots to marvel at. The overall display of the items was great and the given informations were impressive. I loved spending my day in the Museum!

Lovely museum with plenty to see. A bit old fashioned in layout but so much to see. Wish I had a whole day to read everything.

Great FREE day out for all the family. Multi storey car park nearby which was £2 at weekends and a 2 minute walk to the museum. We spent about 3 hours in the museum with lots to talk about with the kids. Areas where you...More

We took our 4 year old to the Manchester Museum as he is learning about dinosaurs at school so we wanted to show him some dinosaur bones. It has a lot more than just the dinosaur section. There was the Egyptian section, Natural World, Planets,...More

The Manchester Museum is very interesting - it has a huge array of taxidermy items (which I personally am not a fan of but it IS very interesting) and a good collection of items from different areas and eras. Well presented even though there is...More

This was my first visit to Manchester museum, I'm truly blown away. We stayed about an hour but could have easily stayed longer. The exhibits were extraordinary, loved the natural history galleries. Very interesting.

There are a few reviews on here saying how disorganised this museum is so I went with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised. Ok so it's not a huge place but they have made the most of what they have. Yes some displays are...More

I wish we'd had more time! We had about an hour and a half and had to rush around. I'd say you need a minimum of two hours and more if you are the type to want to read everything. The displays were imaginatively brought...More

First came here about 15 years ago. This is a very nice museum in a great building. I particularly like the main hall with the dinosaur skeleton hanging from the ceiling. Free attraction but well worth donating to.

If you can get a train to the Oxford Road station, walk along the Oxford Road to the right-hand side (away from city centre) and you can't miss it! It's a little past All Saints Park
