You can see as soon as you visit the Station that they are making attempts to improve the Station which is worth something at least. It's obviously old and dated and does need a refurb. It's a really good station to get trains from though...More

One of the major rail hubs in the north west. Another old grand station similar in style to Crewe station.

Open and sometimes like a wind tunnel but dry. A northern railway hub connections to Scotland and all over the uk. Given a lump of cash and a chance to add escalators and lifts etc it could be made fantastic

Get food and drinks on the way and make sure that you print your tickets out or put them on an app as too often their automated machines are down. They also change tracks at the last minute - you have been warned.
