I went here just the other day in 22°C sunny weather, was lovely, sat by the side of the lake on a bench I’m just appreciated the moment, well worth a visit, best little nature place I’ve been to in Bolton yet.

Enjoyed a nice walk around the circular and fed the ducks. Ideal for young families, as the walk is not very long and is pram friendly

It's a nice walk in an urban area with a good range of birds and plants. Nice to go in the winter when frosty as the frost on the grasses and reeds is lovely

You can access it by car, bus or just walk. It's a really pleasant stroll around taking in the sights, wildlife and the people. The only problem that some of the dog walkers are not as careful as they should be.

You used to be able to do, with a licence, but there were problems with people fishing out of season and taking wildfowl so I'm unsure if fishing is still allowed. On saying that, the fishing points are still well maintained.
