Too close for comfort to the gypsy camp just across the road. The scumbags threatened me and threw stuff at my car. Four men against 1 woman - Lowlife scrotes! The police do nothing, it’s like the Wild West there. Avoid.

Further to the reply about copious wildfowl droppings i'd add that thats the situation around the ponds and there are plenty of similarly fine wide paths into and through the woods and up to the cemetery or across the river... More

There's a road just uphill from the park that is a dead end and importantly it borders the park itself but wide enough for easy parking by large and high vehicles as it has the odd industrial premises on it and even a snack... More
