Overview
More
Buchan Country Park is 170 acres of countryside on Crawley's doorstep and a Green Flag Award winning Country Park. Owned and managed by West Sussex County Council, it is a haven for quiet recreation and a variety of wildlife. The waters at Buchan are designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest for the variety of dragonfly species. The park is an ideal place for walking, wildlife watching or enjoying a picnic. We have a permanent orienteering course, 2 way-marked trails and sculpture dotted around the park. The Rangers and the Friends of Buchan Country Park run a variety of events throughout the year. Lose yourself amongst the birch trees, wander around the heath and linger in the meadow, Buchan Park has plenty to offer.

We live a short walk from here. We recently bought a puppy and it’s the most ideal place to take him! The lakes are stunning, there’s lots of friendly people with dogs and children. Anyone of any age would enjoy a wonder round!

Great place to walk the dogs, especially when everywhere else is so muddy! Plenty of poo bins so absolutely no excuse not to pick up after them, although sadly some still don't! You can venture off track into the woods if you fancy a longer...More

The place smells of dog urine and faeces. And there was a great deal of dog's mess around which was a nightmare for our group that included a toddler, 2 young children and a baby in a pushchair. If you have a dog then I'm...More

The Second nicest walking spot in Crawley. Great for walking the dog. It is also great that there are leaflets containing different routes you can take. I spent a good hour or two strolling through the forest.
