We had a fantastic guide who brought this little museum to life. We had checked opening and tour times on the website as due to the nature of the site you have to go on a guided tour. Numbers on each tour are limited as it is a small building. It is a very old building which for us added to the atmosphere, but tread carefully and watch your head. I loved the quirky pipe designs and that pipes made here more recently by 1 talented man have been used in films and television programmes such as Poldark. You can get a map here to guide you around Broseley's historic buildings. An American lady bought a little clay pipe to tie on her Christmas tree. I thought what a good idea so bought one and will get some pretty ribbon before December.

This museum really is a moment in time and so pleased that it has been saved for all to enjoy. Broseley is also an interesting village to walk round with its jitties.

Excellent little museum spotlighting Broseley's clay pipe-making dynasty. The strictures of health and safety zealots restrict factory visitors to guided tours. Our guide, Tim, did a good job of skating through several centuries of history. Two short films, depicting the manufacturing process and several company stalwarts, bring to life the small and incredibly antiquated workshops, last used in the Fifties. Other elements of great interest are the bottle kiln and the museum's fine collection of clay pipes. If you're keen to light up, modern examples, made in the traditional way, are available from a small shop. Limited on site free parking but plenty of street parking nearby. Recommended.

The car park is very small and the museum not much bigger. Also it is very expensive and would have cost the whole family £50 to get in. We could go to Blackpool for that.

I thoroughly enjoyed this informative visit to the old clay pipe making factory. You do however need to bear in mind that they only take fairly small groups round, owing to the nature of the site, so you are best to turn up really early for the tours and go for a self guided walk round Broseley while you are waiting.
