Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The visit was much enhanced by Jane, the volunteer guide who gave a comprehensive and informed explanation of the history of the industry in this fascinating location.
The exhibits are so well presented and fully demonstrated both their beauty and utility.
Jane explained the history and processes involved and gave an insight into the lives of the skilled working men and women responsible for so much beautiful work.

We visited the Printmakers' Fair at the Fusion Gallery at the Tile Museum and had a very enjoyable visit.
The Fair had a lot of very good pieces to view and buy, showing lots of different printing techniques but the best part of the Gallery was visiting Jan Park and Cat Noble's Studios/shops downstairs. Both artists were very welcoming and happy to talk about their art - beautiful paintings and glass work. Will definitely visit again and recommend visiting the Gallery and Studios.

Brilliant, inspiring and quirky. If you are an artist or interested in ceramics or pottery, or just a curious person this is a fantastic museum. Amazing building and the history and beauty inside is breathtaking. I would recommend this to anybody. Just a shame they don't have postcards of the tiles or more for sale.

I wasn't all that interested in tiles...until I visited this place. It really opened my eyes as to how tiles were/are manufactured, and their significance during the past 200 years or so. The exhibits are beautifully curated, and the John Scott collection is stunning beyond belief.

We had a wonderful guided tour courtesy of Jayne, who's something of a star. Thank you!!

We were not expecting much from this museum. How wrong we were! It was fascinating and brought back so many memories from throughout our lives. I had never really considered tiling as a form of art before. So glad we popped in. Friendly enthusiastic staff and it was altogether such a delightful experience. Good to read about the history too. Not sure that children would be so enthralled but it made our day to look around the museum. Thank you.

This was my favourite museum of the ones in iron bridge area excluding blist hill. I would recommend getting the pass plus for the best value.

Really loved seeing all the examples of the tiles in replica rooms.

It was a really interesting walk round

This is a wonderful place to visit, so much to see and enjoy.
The range of tiles is amazing from a Butchers shop to a section of London tube plus so much more. These really were things of beauty and pieces of art.
I loved every minute spent here looking at every display and can only say superb!

This is an outstanding museum. Everything is beautifully curated and displayed. There is so much to see. There are some amazing sets, eg a reconstructed tube station. It’s a truly fascinating place and well worth a visit.

First of all take the walk from Ironbridge; cross the bridge to the Toll House, turn left and the museum is about a mile through the woods. It’s very nice

The museum itself is lovely. Housed in the original tile factory in Jackfield, some of the original offices and boardroom still remain

The galleries are packed with beautiful examples of Jackfield tiles, from the smallest of mosaic pieces to entire walls from shops and even a bar from a pub

The entrance price is perhaps a little steep at just over ÂŁ10 per person, but the collection is superb and highly recommended

I just love this kind of thing. There are many types of tile, ranging from Roman to victorian and beautiful they are!
A running theme throughout the museum is the application of tiles in a domestic setting such as hospitals, butcher shops and hospitals and there are displays showing just this.
Altogether a very interesting, thought provoking and creative experience.
We didn't have time for any of the practical workshops and browsing the exterior of the site due to heavy rain, but overall I would recommend what doesn't sound like a very interesting experience.
