My mother wanted to visit here as she used to live around the Arboretum when she was a girl. She was disappointed that there were no flowers but I thought it was a lovely little patch of green amongst the built up housing.
I visited here today & although it was pleasant. Very disappointed re littering & overflowing waste bins all around the whole park. Lovely pond too but unfortunately full of rubbish. It’s such a shame. The cafe was nice & the lady very friendly. Lots of...More
This park has history and a couple of very nice buildings as well as trees and flowers of course. It also has a playground and a football pitch. From my wanderings it became clear that this park gets used a lot by the local community...More
The Arboretum is a place to go if you want to walk around in an
extremely peaceful atmosphere. If you have any history of family who have died in the wars it is a place to gain information. The staff were very helpful.

The park is worth going to for it's history. It is a case of faded glory, you now have to watch out for motorbikes but there are some benches and some nice community activities happening which are run from the park
