I wouldn't often recommend visiting a University campus, but you should really try to visit the NUIG campus if you're in Galway! It's about a 5 minute walk from Eyre Square and is really worth it- the campus, especially the Quad, is beautiful.

There is an accessibility walk (follow the blue dots) through this campus which is a good starting point. Diverge from the path and look at the older buildings including the original Quadrangle with its beautiful stonework and lawn. The explanatory story boards give the history...More

Very interesting place to visit. A quiet, thought provoking, restful place for the mind. Nice quadrangle, buildings, walkways, historical information. Great walk alongside the River Corrib. Uplifting experience.

Just a lovely campus with a great center featuring Ivy covered gothic buildings, a nice walk area featuring famous people, a rowing club, and a nice pub on campus! The grounds are just lovely.

We strolled though the campus on Sunday when it was nice and quiet. The campus is small and compact and combines the old with new architecture. The quad area is beautiful and similar to other universities in Ireland of the same era.

It’s a grand and beautiful university especially their main building with its very nice courtyard. You can imagine yourself walking the corridors going to your classes.

Visiting our friends daughter who was studying there, we were surprised to find that there is actually a very nice river running through the campus. The layout of the college was also unique in that its apparently divided by River Corrib yet you could drive...More

The University is beautiful, but sprawling. The instructors easy to work with. Corrib Village accommodations were, however, a bit rustic.
