I was a frequent user of Irish Rail, but after what I experienced on October 26th, I will never set foot on one of your trains. I pre-booked my seat and paid in advance for my seat to be able to travel in ''comfort'' as...More
Travelled to Limerick from Galway on a Saturday morning train, the driver was very pleasant and informative. The train was small, just three carriages and seats were very clean and comfortable. The train arrived on time and the staff at Limerick station were very pleasant...More

We took the train from Athlone to Dublin in September 2018. We were able to park at the train station for the entire day for around 5Euros. The train is clean, fast and efficient and a lot easier than driving into Dublin.

Hi, I booked a ticket online yesterday to travel on Friday and what happened is that Iarnrod Eireann sent me a code by email and I'll go to the ticket machine at the station on Friday and insert the code and receive my ticket. The ticket machine has a number of dispensers of tickets and I've never had much of a delay in getting my ticket from the machine in the past. Hope this helps, enjoy your trip.
