About
The most original shop on The Royal Mile! Featuring the world's largest collection of Scottish gemstone jewellery. Raw materials hand-gathered by 'Scotland's Gem Hunter', BBC regular and national celebrity Adam McIntosh. What better souvenir to take home than a wee piece of Scotland itself? Plus, an impressive selection of ethically mined and sourced crystals and fossils from around the globe.

Neighbourhood: Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.

Rude shop assistant. 2 Children not allowed in at same time when accompanying their mother as COVID rule states only 2 people in
May 2021 • Family
Tried to visit this shop as I had researched on the Internet and wanted not only to get something special for myself (as we were visiting on my wedding anniversary weekend) but also wanted to purchase something for 2 x daughters 1st visit to Scotland. Was really excited to visit and buy jewellery made from Scottish stone .

Having worked frontline in NHS throughout the pandemic I am more than aware of the risks of COVID-19. But was horrified by the rude shop assistant working on Saturday 28th May who barked that my daughter could not entire the shop as myself and her sister were already in. When I politely questioned but she is a child and we are the same "family bubble " the same rude shop assistant insisted that she was not allowed in.
Obviously I was unwilling to leave either of my daughters outside a shop in a strange city ( didn't want a "James Bulger" senerio), so left without any confrontation.

In search of my ring
Feb 2020 • Solo
When I was in Scotland last year (sept 2019) I had a mission... get myself a nice ring as a keepsake, the ultimate way to remember this trip I took with my brother. Not just any ring though, it needed to be good quality and look Scottish and really speak to me. I searched every single giftshop, I'm not even kidding... ask my brother 🤣 untill I found Two Skies jewellery at one of the beautiful castles we visited and found my beautiful ring! Little did I know there was a whole entire shop in Edinburgh! I would have visited, now it's on my wishlist for my next visit to Edinburgh. Gotta keep something to wish for right... my ring still looks perfect and I wear it every day, it's very dear to me ❤

The cutest and most authentic jewelry
Feb 2019 • Solo
Such a beautiful jewelry shop! I stopped in to get myself something unique— i like to get one piece of jewelry from every city I visit, so naturally I’m very particular. This place offers a back story for every piece of jewelry, so I thought it would also be a nice present for my friend back home :) lovely staff as well!

The most lovely of all shops!
Nov 2018 • Couples
For many years we have been visiting Edinburgh and on our very first visit, we encountered Adam and his fabulous stall. All of his handmade and many, hand mined by himself, gems were breathtaking and every visit we made sure to go and see him. A nicer, more genuine man you will not meet. He knows where all the gems come from, who - if not himself, found them. He has a knowledge of the gems that is quite staggering.
Now he has this wonderful little shop and that too is a mine of wonders. You need to take your time to absorb and appreciate all the beauty within. Sometimes you will find a piece shouting ‘pick me, pick me!’ and on other visits they will be quietly whispering ‘hello, I’m over here!’
The staff are very helpful and happy for you to touch and hold pieces and I never feel there is any pressure to buy anything.
I feel the opals Adam has are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen anywhere and very often have unique tales of their own. There are prices to suit all, from hundreds of pounds to pocket money pieces. Gifts for everyone. Something unique and memorable.
I do feel it is a shame that the beautiful, magical stall that we first visited is now only out on high days and holidays as that was such a highlight of our visit I to Edinburgh every single time and I think maybe the extremely unique pieces of those times are becoming rarer but this shop is still wonderful and well worth a visit by everyone planning a trip to Edinburgh. You will find your very own little piece of Adam ‘magic’ to enjoy forever.

Beautiful Two Skies' Gold Birch Leaf Earrings Bought
Jul 2018 • Solo
I did not visit the Edinburgh store, but discovered the beautiful jewelry while shopping at another store in Chipping Campden (Cotswolds) while on holiday. This is where I bought a pair of the Two Skies' gold birch leaf earrings because they are affordable, unique and very pretty. When I returned to this Chipping Campden store a week later to check out other earrings made by Two Skies', the sales person told me everything was sold out already... not a total surprise.

I did contact the Edinburgh store via email with some follow up questions and was very impressed with the quick response and customer service support I received. I am already thinking about purchasing another pair or two for friends.

I came across this shop for the first time this summer. They have a superb range of gemstones and crystals from all over the world. Once you discover this shop you will not be able to resist going back time and time again! It is pleasure visiting the shop as the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about their subject.

I found the Two Skies stall on the Mound in Edinburgh. Wow! What an array of beautiful natural gemstone jewellery. Necklaces, earrings, rings set with tigers eye, labradorite, green marble, agate and beautiful Lewiston. I just couldn't resist.
Lovely knowledgeable lady only too pleased to share knowledge and advise.

Very helpful and patient sales staff! I had a lot of difficulty deciding what to buy! IT IS ALL BEAUTIFUL!
Aug 2018 • Solo
I bought about 8 pieces 3 for me and 5 for gifts! Love the stone choices and stories behind them. The girls helped me think through my choices. I could have stayed for hours. There are some really beautiful stones in there. I bought a coin pearl pendant 3 Labradorite pendants, 3 native Scottish stone rings and one Sapphire mix stone ring(I am keeping that one!. Most of what they specialize in is sterling but they do have a couple of beautiful gold pieces and some gold plate. I love that there are no two alike! The way they make the rings is great for gifting or for yourself. no need to go to get them sized. They are sort of like a spoon ring design and easily expand or tighten.
However you don't see that when you look at them. Oh, and the sales staff offered me the tax free forms I needed to get the sales tax back via mail or dropbox at the airport. Even got to meet Adam as he breezed into the shop. That made it all more exciting to buy. He goes all over the world searching for these beautiful stones. See the articles on FB or in the shop on the walls! I will follow the shop online and continue to buy!
