The serpentine bridge across the River Foyle at Derry is a fine homage to peace. See the old military barracks at Ebrington Square on the other side and have lunch or dinner in the Walled City Brewery - a great gastropub!

The story of this bridge opening is amazing. The son of man killed was first to cross the bridge and stopped at center to proposed to his girlfriend.

We walked the bridge as a slow stroll ovrr the wide river,to take in the city views and surrounding scenery which seemed to go on forever. A beautiful mixture of water vessels and city traffic in a glorious setting.

This is a lovely bridge with a couple of areas that have a built in bench so you can sit and take in the stunning views of this city. It's near the Guild Hall on one end...never made it all the way across.

As I approached the bridge this beautiful rainbow appeared over it. The bridge affords a pleasant walk on a nice day. It’s unconventional design makes it a work of art to be admired.
