The old city walls are intact and wide enough to walk on. Nice views of the city can be had from there. A nice outdoor activity. Fun for tourists and kids.

It is easy to walk the 1 mile city walls. It's easy to forget you are on the top at times because the walkway is 20 feet wide. It's a great way to get an overall feel for the town.

No, you can do it yourself. But it’s not expensive to do the tour and the guide provides valuable insights into the city’s history and difficult conflicts.
