Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum is well organised and neat. It seems to have been a longtime since any of the exhibits been updated. A static museum, nevertheless, browsing the exhibits you are likely to find something that interests you. It has a lift to improve accessibility, good toilet facilities, a small gift shop and it’s free. A good place ona rainy day.

We visited the museum on Bank Holiday Monday. The museum is a beautiful building and holds some interesting items. We enjoyed walking around and particularly enjoyed the art on display and the railway items. The museum is free and Is well worth a visit!

This majestic pillared build sits on the rim of the Mall area in old Armagh. Once you walk through the door your greeted by welcoming staff. The staff members are knowledgeable and passionate.

They are very helpful with queries on objects brought to the musuem for study and let you see artifacts close up apon request. I felt totally at home here and I will return to soak up the amazing history.

I have been to the museum a couple of times before but this was my young daughter's first visit.

There was plenty to capture the imagination. I really enjoyed the ancient local history cabinets, with the local finds of flint and pottery.

My daughter was captivated by the clothing. She loved the dresses on display, and was delighted ro be able to dress up. There is the corset, hooped shirt, dress and hats. The child was skipping with delight at them. My highlight was the Tynan hoard. These viking bracelets are amazing.

I'm not usually one for art, but there was an exhibition of the work of George Russell. This was fabulous. Well worth a look.

The museum is deceptively large with a broad range of artifacts.

The staff at the museum first of all were very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

There was a lot more in the museum than I thought there would be. There was also an art/photo exhibition currently there which personally I wouldn't be fully interested in but would be good for people who are as it added to the museum as an extra.

The museum itself is free to get into but there is a donation box which you can leave a donation in which I did as it was better than I expected it to be.

Last Saturday in August I took some children to the museum for a nosey..previous Saturday we had spent the day hunting the Angel's and gargoyles around town..well it was fantastic..we must have spent 2hrs in the museum doing a kids hunt provided by the museum. Not only was this good fun but very informative..the kids loved searching for the answers and also looking at the displays..the museum also provided an activity sheet for outdoors on the mall which we completed also..kids described it as best day ever👌🏻.
