The WORKERS art & design studios & gallery is in a small former mining village in South Wales - but we are bang up to date & well known for our warm welcome! We have a changing exhibitions programme of original art & design and visitors can browse and buy cards & prints sourced directly from independent artists.& attend events. We are a small 1 000 square feet venue with gallery & studio spaces where you can browse locally handmade welsh gifts including a permanent display of lovespoons. Workshops in furniture making & wood-turning are available and take place is a well equipped studio next door. We run regular art events & talks & WAM Nights (1st Thu of every month). Want to know what's on before you visit? Open Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays 11am - 4.30pm but if you are visiting the area at other times - please call to make an appointment as we also open by appointment. Groups/parties looking for bespoke talks etc are also catered for. On the 132 Cardiff-Maerdy bus route.

This is one of my few "Must Go To" places. The exhibitions of wood-work/photography/ painting/textiles and sculpture change regularly and are always memorable and often thought-provoking. Attended a poetry and music evening at the gallery and it was such a lovely atmosphere. The art was beautiful and the gallery just seemed like such a hub for people in the local community. Would definitely recommend paying a visit.
