The wooden Norwegian church was first errected in 1868 for Norwegian sailors that brought wooden props for the coal mines. It reminds me so much of Iceland, same kind of style.

This is a lovely, historic building that looks great from the outside. Inside is not up to scratch. Boring and amateur, crying out for a proper historical back story display. We had coffee and cake in the cafe section. Never got a smile or word...More

A beautifully preserved building with a long history to the past. It is now an art gallery, coffee shop and information area.

This is a beautiful Church, looks small from outside but very loaded inside. When we visited there was an ongoing exhibition which was very nice and the prices were very reasonable. Apparently they have lots of these kinds of exhibitions throughout the year.

Quaint building and great it has been restored. Not much to see though. Cafe downstairs and little craft stalls upstairs.

Hi, there is parking alongside the church (free in the evening) plus there is the 2000 space car park on Pierhead Street (5-10 min walk)
