This was a hard going journey for our family with 3 little-uns. but we made the effort to get all the way to the top from the nearest carpark, probably about 45 minute uphill walk, (despite the fact we met others coming the other way...More
Spectacular. Weather no matter really. Views breathtaking. Great walk. Easy can be done with family. I loved every bit of it. Definitely will be back for more. Follow me on insta. Lukaszpietraszkiewicz for more.
The track up from the car park is easy and you have to navigate the wall by the fish farm. The lake is surrounded by a steep sided glacial wall. The path to the top gently rises to the right of the lake. We walked...More
Pen Y Fan is a 'must' climb for most folk however you'd be daft not to take a detour to this beautiful lake. It's located on the quieter, more scenic side and is definitely worth the effort and even a little paddle!
We walked up to the lake with our 3 dogs on a beautiful day! The views were fantastic & the sheep were very well behaved (as were our dogs!). Dogs must be kept on leads at all times due to the number of sheep roaming...More
We randomly found this walk on trip advisor and thought we’d give it a go. Pretty easy to find the car park using google maps. Straight away you see the pretty streams and as you start the walk up they get prettier. Lots of small...More

This walk is not long from the car park to the lake, passing the small Trout farm on the way and walking near the stream with it's falls and rushing water, but it is much better to go on, up the hill to the right...More
This is the most wonderful place. Spectacular and beautiful scenery, steeped in Welsh folklore. This is a national treasure and it should be respected as such, it must be accessible to all. The track up from the car park is ok, roughly graded and slightly...More
The car park is available on any GPS system, just put in Lyn Y Fan Fach Car Park and it will come up no problem. Parking is limited so do not get there too late. The walk to the lake is about 20 minutes with a good path next... More
The car park is available on any GPS system, just put in Lyn Y Fan Fach Car Park and it will come up no problem. Parking is limited so do not get there too late. The walk to the lake is about 20 minutes with a good path next to the stream, and only 1 tricky bit going past the Trout Farm, but OK if you go slowly. Slight uphill on the way up but of course downhill on the way back.
