Took a short walk by lake with my sister's dog, then a short walk through the village. There's a little steam train. That will take you around the lake stopping at mining museum etc, plenty things for kids to do lovely spot.

My partner was off in the mountains so I decided on a nice walk around the beautiful lake - even in rain it was beautiful .... perfect walk along the cycle path but then comes the challenging part - 1 1/2 miles on side of...More

We finished our day here and dipped our feet in the cold water which was great at the end of a busy day! You can also hire boats, take a trip on the lake or a train ride around the shore.

Gets busy on weekends but more peaceful during the week when you can sit at various places and enjoy the views. Plenty of places to stop for refreshment along the way.

Lake walks are great, as is the hopsital museum which is free entry. There is also a wonderful little quarry that is so stunning and is used as a dive school, but visitors can go in to see the precious little secret hideaway.

Can't fault the quality of the food here. Service always good, menu is maybe a little lacking in variety.

Yes you can fish Lake Padarn. You can buy day tickets from several places but it is a HUGE (242 acres) expanse of water up to 95 ft deep and finding the best place to fish may be difficult unless you rent a boat (motorised... More

I think you can do both - either use your own or hire one.
