This is a lovely little train journey along the side of the lake with lovely views and a brief stop at the far end where you can stretch your legs and take some photographs. We previously purchased a Snowdonia Pass which cost £5 and it...More

Booked on here as the mountain train was cancelled. From an adult point of view it was average, but my little one absolutely loved it. It's a short train ride, which stops at the slate museum. Not a great deal to see I guess but...More

Having paid for four adults, one child and a dog, this overpriced train ride didn’t give any change from £40! You literally pack into busy carriages to go half an hour (very slowly) along the lake to a point where you stop for 5 mins...More

Very scenic. Short train round. Great for kids and photographers. Dirty toilets at the station. Otherwise ok to pass an hour or so. Very slow old lady on the till selling tickets. So slow it was painful.

Whilst my friends climbed Snowdon I took the train round the lake. The weather was poor but there were some great views and I had fun taking pics. The trip lasts about an hour and is reasonable priced.

We have visited today. It is not really a long trip as it says but the view is amazing and the train has good seating and it is very well kept. Worth visiting

This is a lovely little train which runs along the lake side. At first it seems an expensive trip but for an hour's journey with scenic views it is well worth it. You can also spilt your journey and have a picnic at the lake...More

Definitely worth a visit choice of steam or diesel trains. Best to book in advance and hopefully on a lovely sunny day. If its raining and cloudy you wont see a thing but its still enjoyable. Cafe and toilets at the top although your only...More

There's no doubt that the scenery is spectacular but for such a short trip it is rather expensive and the kids who were on the train all looked bored.
