Lovely interesting area of low lying areas with further higher ground. Used for spotting fast jets such as Tucanos and Hawks being used for training from RAF Valley or cute songbirds, which don't appear to be put off from singing their hearts out.

We visited the Valley Wet Land site earlier this week on a Monday. The car park is very small but there were only two other vehicles when we arrived; there is no charge. A coarse stone covered path (rather too noisy underfoot for bird watching)...More

We found a cozy little spot with just enough room for one car by the lake, but there is a large car park not much further on which is for aircraft viewing and walking.A very beautiful and peaceful area to take a picnic

The car-park on the Minffordd Road, just past Llyn Penrhyn on right, may be hard to find, but its opposite the RAF base entrance, and in amongst the runway approach lights. When I was there (July), there wasn't much in the way of bird life,...More

Nice couple of hours spent watching ducks and migrating geese. Also get to see a few jets landing and taking off from near by air base.

Dogs are allowed around South Stack area but not the walk to the stack itself. Plenty to explore for dogs though as Holyhead Mountain Huts are just across the road.
