I came here to break up the drive to the island of Anglesey. It was pouring with rain so we came here, it's national trust too. It's a dog try home disguised as a castle. We did a loft tour, brilliant.

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt I had to for this. We saw Penrhyn castle listed on the national trust app, our 3 young children (aged 2,5 and 7) love castles so we decided to take the 2 hour drive across and we...More

We visited Penrhyn Castle as part of another wonderful holiday in Anglesey. It's quite a few years since we were at Penrhyn and quite a lot had changed. It is quite expensive for admission (£28 per couple) but this gives you access to the house,...More

Found this castle by accident and so glad we did! The castle wasn’t open but still managed to spend a lovely 2 hours walking round the grounds and looking at the railway museum! Can’t wait to go back and see the house!

The scale of this edifice is astonishing reflecting the massive profits made from the slate quarries and the basic often dangerous conditions that workers laboured under, the excess is on show, interesting industrial railway relics, nice garden of the period but no comparison with Bodnant....More

Visited in damp and windy conditions. Castle was not open which I hadn't noticed on the website. However the Railway Museum was open together with the Stables cafe and shop. The grounds are extensive ... the walled garden was particularly good. Staff were excellent. Need...More
