This is an interesting house in a beautiful and peaceful location in the city. The guides are all really helpful and willing to share information. Its a small house with 8 rooms on display and one that can be imagined as a home

Really enjoyed our visit. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and an interesting introduction to the history of the house from the guide. Love the staircase and the rooms are beautiful especially the Barbara Townsend sitting room where she did her artwork. Loved...More

Only a small place but a big welcome on entry. We could imagine ourselves living here. Interesting information on the former inhabitants and a well kept little garden,

Standing in an enviable position in the Cathedral Close this very elegant Georgian house is well worth a visit. Refreshments are available too in the delightful little garden.

I'm not a big house person but I do love gardens. While the group wandered the house, I sat in the sun and took in the garden. Both worthwhile pursuits.

Lovely National Trust house in the middle of Salisbury, looking over the cathedral green. Currently the car parks in Salisbury are free in the afternoons so it’s well worth a visit.

Located in Cathedral close is this National Trust early 18th century house. A very fine house built in 1701 by a wealthy wiltshire family is handsomely furnished and has a good garden. £7.70 entrance fee. Well worth a visit.

A good example of a National Trust property which has been sympathetically preserved to give a good idea of what it was like to live here in the middle of the last century. Also has a tea room and a gift shop
