Visited during the heatwave in June 2018. The park is well maintained and worth a visit to relax in a busy city centre. The restaurant I think is family run and offered cold drinks, beer etc. in pleasant surroundings. Did not have time to try...More

Priory Park offers so much for all ages with a wonderful cafe where you can watch the world go by. A gift from the Duke of Richmond to the people of Chichester 100 years ago!

During our recent visit to Chichester, we spent some time in this park. It is a historic place, with two of the boundaries being the City Walls. There was an archaeological dig going on while we were there, so there may be ancient artifacts waiting...More

This is a lovely park in the centre of Chichester. The locals obviously agree as it was well populated when we visited, although the following day when we walked the City Walls it was deserted! Cricket matches are played on a regular basis each Saturday....More

I didn't see anyone with a BBQ. At the time, the grass was tinderbox dry, so it wouldn't have been a good idea anyway! I don't know the answer. Would suggest you ask the local council
