Down for goodwood festival with work, and got treated like rift raft being told we had to pay for our food which I thought was just plain rude.... very poor customers service

I believe that the parking is free...? But you probably have to walk further than when going on the bus. But the car park is an attraction in itself! 🏁🌞

It can be busy leaving after the event, depends on which day you are going. Suggest you note carefully which public car park and where within it you're parked, as some people forget or waste time looking for their car even... More
