To be clear, the gardens are open and the fab cafe as well, but not the visitors centre (we arrived at 3 on a Saturday). Gardens were lovely and coffee and cakes great.

An advert for organic gardening. Was so much better 10 and 20 years ago. Free on weekends. No plant sales and many areas not cared for. Will not be going again

We had not visited in "winter" befire and wre delighted to find that from November until March the gardens are free. Still lots to see and excellent signage. Finished our visit with a delicious meal in the Stockpot Cafe which is fairly new.
