Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Byker Viaduct takes you over the surrounding valley and gives you some great views of the surrounding area towards the River Tyne.

If you are not feeling too energetic you can get the Tyne & Wear Metro which runs near the viaduct from Newcastle Central to Byker and get a similar view although it could be over a bit too quickly.

A little stroll from the city centre but well worth it.

If you want to view Victorian architecture at its best head to Ouseburn and view The Byker Bridge.
This viaduct style bridge carries the long road A193 over the River Ouseburn ,constructed in 1878 as a pedestrianised bridge originally, widened in 1899 its an absolutely stunning piece of architecture, the massive arches look amazing.
We were in this area of Newcastle visiting The Ship Inn underneath the arches and Arch 2 Brewery built into the massive spans,we couldn't help but admire the wonderful looking bridge, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Stepney Bank in Ouseburn.

My twin brother Stephen and I were visiting Arch 2 Brewery & Tap Room and The Ship Inn and we couldn't help but notice the amazing set of bridges ,The Byker Bridge and this wonderful looking bridge called The Byker Viaduct.
The Byker Viaduct also known as The Byker Metro Bridge is such an impressive looking bridge ,this bridge carries the Tyne & Wear Metro over the River Ouseburn, constructed better 1976 - 1979 ,its construction type is known as a box girder bridge and is 825 metres long,I just loved the look of this bridge, its amazing, it's certainly hard to miss and most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Stepney Bank in Ouseburn.
