Lichfield is itself lovley but the cathedral is a special place and well worth a visit. It is medieval and has three spires and contains spectacular architecture and wonderful windows. Well worth a visit

Our first visit to the cathedral despite living in Staffordshire for 40+ year. Stunning! In addition to the incredible architecture, the staff were welcoming and informative.

Yes it is misaligned. When part of the cathedral was altered in the 1170s, the north wall of the choir was not built in line with the nave. The thinking is that the rebuilding was started before a nearby chapel was... More

It is well worth the visit as cakes and food generally are fantastic. Full facilities exist.
