Cold venue
Sep 2016 • Solo
No atmosphere, no customers, chilly to sit and drink coffee, but coffee was nice.
Mostly run by volunteer staff.

A good cuppa
Aug 2016
Very suprised by the venue as it is much smaller than I thought. It is through a workshop and upstairs. The staff were very friendly and the coffee and tea excellent. I must mention the range of teas on offer, I don't think you could have asked for one they didn't have. The same could not be said for the cake selection. There were only about 3 to choose from, however the ones we had were delicious.

Quirky location
Feb 2016 • Couples
The cafe is in a lovely quirky location in that it is on the 1st floor above wood re-cycling / up-cycling activities and it has a cosy wood burner. It serves delicious reasonably priced food and drinks. We had meze and coffee (several) which were delicious. The staff were all lovely. It is in a good location with free on-street parking near-by. Definitely worth a visit.

Coffee, cake & a warm welcome
Apr 2016 • Friends
I went to Strip the Willow with a friend 16/04/2016 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A very 'different' kind of café with a warm friendly welcome and a very enjoyable coffee and cake (with custard). We didn't know what to expect but it has a lovely atmosphere and sells hand made items that are dotted around the walls.
Shall we be going again? You bet we will.

Lovely homely café with very good coffee and delicious cakes and sandwiches. It has a lovely feel about it - a very nice oasis on a road that 's getting very trendy!

And now for something completely different.

This is an interesting spot for a snack. We called in for coffee and "meze platter".
The coffee shop is part of a furniture reclaimation centre. The area is full of furniture made from odd bits of wood and there are some well made pieces available. The coffee was very good and the freshly prepared meze was really well produced with cheese peppers, sausage, olives etc. Great value for money.
We stopped for an extra coffee and had a wander round looking for nick nacks to buy.
They have folk music from time to time and poetry recitals. All very 1960s student days.
They have website so do check out what is on or drop by for a coffee and a look around.

Coffee and cake with a Groupon
Jan 2016
Very interesting experience! Little eclectic café upstairs in a second hand furniture shop with art for sale dotted around the walls of the café. Also have some greetings cards and ground coffee etc for sale. Coffee was freshly made and was really good. Not a huge choice of cakes and we went for a pre-wrapped date and orange crumble slice which was average at best. Lovely fire burning away, so very cosy. This place really has to be seen, hard to describe. You can browse local magazines or have a game of chess while you sip your coffee. For £5.00 for the 2 of us it wasn't bad and certainly a different thing to do at Sunday lunchtime.

Warm welcome in friendly cafe
Mar 2015 • Solo
This is a lovely place to spend an hour or two. Go up the wooden staircase at the back of the upcycling workshop (where there are some great bargains to be had) and you enter a cosy little cafe with a wood burning stove. The food and drinks are good and not expensive. Soup and cakes are home-made and delicious. There are also locally produced hand-crafted items for sale. All in all a great place to visit.
