Used to sell the best beer in Sheffield when it was run by Eddie and Pat. Now under new management, and it still sells the best beer Sheffield. Carry on.

This is a truly great pub with fantastically friendly staff, very good beer and an amazing garden, which often has open fires to warm yourself on in the evening. It's not exactly in the city centre, but it's worth the walk and there's a few...More

Lovely garden onto the Don both in summer and winter as open fires in winter. Good selection of beers and cider , live folk and character. Traditional Bar Billiards.

The low rating, given on some revues, seems to relate to the landlords grumpy attitude to customers. The landlady, on the other hand, is very friendly. As a regular customer I can confirm that Eddie is a grumpy old man but he can also be...More

Probably the best real ale pub in Sheffield. More than 10 real ales! Large garden on the river bank and very friendly owners. What else you need from the pub?

The Gardeners Rest is a fantastic pub. Tucked away just outside the city centre, a stones throw away from Kelham Island, full of art and artefacts. There is a fantastic beer garden with two fires that looks over a quiet part of the river and...More
