This one of my favourite places to visit in Sheffield. Love the garden, open fire, beautiful lights, canoes, Knick knacks in nooks and crannies, good beer, folk music, public and saloon, pool, a river, community run, gorgeous.

The Gardeners Rest is a very friendly welcoming pub with a jovial landlord and a quirky garden overlooking the River Don. They have an interesting selection of beers. I saw a most amusing performance by a singer/guitarist called Paul Weatherhead. Altogether a very enjoyable afternoon.
A traditional pub with a good range of well-priced beers and a real community ethos.
Really liked the beer garden at the back where we could sit and watch the river go past.
