I am a bit late in writing this review...Sorry! Angela and I had an amazing time on this holiday. Our guide was Gaynor Rees who went above and beyond to make this a really special time for us all. The weather was very kind and despite a terrible forecast we actually never saw much rain at all. We had lots of laughs with the group and the scenery was outstanding. This holiday was everything I was hoping for and much more besides. Thank you Jax

This was my first trip with WW and it was great with a few caveats. The scenery and accommodations were lovely, the terrain and snow conditions were great.....but... the trip was billed as requiring an intermediate level of xcountry skiing ability and most of the participants had limited or no xcountry skiing experience. This meant skiing at a very slow pace, numerous stops to "rest", make tea and to check the map. For anyone with an intermediate level (that means some real xcountry skiing background, not alpine skiing in St Moritz), the pace was excruciatingly slow. That means, you'd better wear extra layers as you will spend a lot of time waiting for others. Also, it would help if the guide had xcountry skiing experience to help the novice skiers improve their technique. Still, I really enjoyed the trip despite skiers limited knowledge of the sport and their need for innumerable stops. It would also help to have a local guide who knows smthg about the local history, terrain and wildlife. Unfortunately, no info was available on our trip. Otherwise, the group was very peasant.

This was my first time with Walking Women and I have to say it was just great getting together with a bunch of like-minded women enjoying the walks, the scenery, the chats and of course the cream teas! Chrissie was a great host and walk leader. I will certainly be looking to 2020 for another walking holiday. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic holiday in the lakes staying at the lovely Galaramara Outdoor Centre - hotel full board accommodation in the heart of Borrowdale. 3 levels of guided walks available each day allowed all to experience the beauty and challenge of walking in the hills. The sense of community quickly established by this lesbian group of women walkers and guides made the holiday extra special. All in all, an inspiring and restorative break. Thank you walking women.
