Our family travelled a few times and had to request for information regarding which stops/station to get to our destination and all the time, we have been positively informed by the staff of the Reading Station. We were also well advised regarding the purchase of...More

They obviously spent a huge amount of money on the new station and it is awful. The booking office is divorced from the main entrance and you have to go outside again to get to it unless you want to walk up platform 7 and...More

Many of my rail journeys involve a change at Reading, and you can get to most of England, Scotland and Wales from here. In fact it can be easier to travel via Reading than to get across London between different termini, especially if time isn’t...More

Well, since the refurbishment, it’s certainly a better station than it once was. The new concourse bridge makes it easy to traverse the station. The light and airy nature makes it a pleasant place rather than a dark and dingy place.

As an example of modern railway architecture this has much to offer. Lots of airy platforms, a sleek escalator service between them and plenty of places for drinks and snacks. Note when arranging a tax in advance the distinction between the “old side” and the...More

It's less than half a mile, so 10 minutes should be plenty of time
