Ad being from Belgium and a bit in love with the English language, it seemed a good idea to watch a play in Oxford. We saw "Scherlock Holmes : The final curtain" with two amazing principal actors Lizza Goddard and Robert Powell. We enjoined every...More

Very nice theatre, deceptive as it doesn’t look it from outside, the staff were very welcoming. Saw the fantastic Midsummer Night’s Dream that is touring the country. Very funny and a good Q&A session afterwards

Thoroughly enjoyed the performance of The Little Matchgirl. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the venue clean and tidy. The seats were comfortable and appeared new. Small-ish auditorium which made the atmosphere quite intimate with the actors. Conveniently located.

The less said about the play we went to see (Hedda) the better. However the Playhouse, previously tired and rather decrepit, has had a decent facelift - comfortable new seats with plenty of legroom and decent facilities throughout. Much improved!

Probably the best panto we have seen. The cast was very good, it was well directed and produced, lots of fun. The theatre has been well refurbed recently too. See you next year!
