Traveled 65 miles to go here but not open as work being done on it ,be useful if stated that on web site.

This museum is right next door to the Oldest Inn in England. There is opportunity to visit various areas, the laundry, chemist shop sweet shop, butchers and lots of things to see. Really interesting experience, worth a visit.

Wonderful collection, the museum of Nottinghamshire Life. Series of roomd, shops etc recreated. Fascinating troglodyte air-raid shelter. What a pity you can't get in without buying a ticket for the rip-off castle!

A hidden little gem, tucked away behind the castle. Wander through the rooms in the cottages where volunteers are on hand to talk about life and describe the artefacts. Signposts guide you through the rooms and caves at the back of the houses. £2.50 didn't...More

This place is a real gem, and is brought alive by the enthusiasm of the staff and volunteers. There was much more to look at and explore than I was expecting, including the caves at the back of the building. Totally fascinating and excellent value...More

Following the underground cave tour we were recommended to pay this museum a visit. What a gem! Lots to see - covering room settings, bygone toys, shop settings, air raid shelters etc etc Well worth a visit.

A super museum with so much to see for £2.50 per person. It is closing though, along with Nottingham Castle, at the end of March for at least 2 years for redevelopment so my advice would be to go while you still can! Lots of...More

Nottingham castle will close for a 2 year refurbishment on 1st July 2018. Brewhouse yard closed on 1st April

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I am sorry but at the moment Brewhouse Yard is only open 12-4 at weekends.
