Visited today with my two young children. We're not particularly 'arty' but they enjoy a gallery. It was a flying visit but one we enjoyed. The current exhibition is really inventive, with walls of t-shirts and hammocks made of jeans, interspersed with visual projections and...More

This is quite a small contemporary gallery in the brutalist style in the historic part of town. Has a nice shop and cafe but the exhibition today wasn’t really my thing! Will go back and see other stuff I’m sure!

I recently attended 2 exhibitions and I found them interesting. The entrance was free and the we were given a summary of each exhibition. However, some of the staff was busy making small talk with other colleagues of theirs and we had to wait to...More

This is a cool addition to the Lace Market area of Nottingham, offering ever changing interactive art displays which are completely free to the public, along with live music, drinks and food in the night times especially over the weekends. Worth a visit

Nottingham punches above its weight in the arts and Nottingham Contemporary is a significant contributor to that success. This purpose built gallery shows a wide range of, often challenging, exhibitions in its three large gallery spaces. They also have a multi-functional space which is sometimes...More

Thank you for your review, we don't mind the 1 or 2 star reviews really - we see it as important that we spark conversations amongst our visitors - and we know that what we offer will not please everyone all of the time. Everyone...More

The building looks quite weird to be honest, but the inside is very neat, light and well-designed. The café offers extremely tasty food but there were only three exhibition rooms there so it took very little time going around. I'd say the exhibits were a...More

Thank you for your review. Our building has always divided opinion - we, of course, love it - people seem to love the inside and not the outside or vice-versa. We're proud to offer what we do for free - and hopefully there will be...More

Visited NC in school holidays, had two shows on plus activities in lower studio space. We really enjoyed it as did the kids, well worth the train fare from leicester for a visit (sadly Leicester does not have such a space)! The 'weirder-land' was a...More

We're really glad that you and your family enjoyed your day here. We do free events for children every weekend and every school holiday - Weirderland is one of the most ambitious we've done and people seem to be really enjoying it. We hope to...More

I've been here a few times. Even had my work displayed here. It's a really nice place to wonder around on a really chilled day.

I have been before a few years ago and really enjoyed my visit so thought I’d come again on my recent visit to Nottingham. Unfortunately not a lot going on when I visited as exhibits were being updated. What was there was very interesting, some...More

Great place to chill out and relax - nice cafe and bar with an outside space. Been to a number of free exhibitions here and all have been of a high standard. Always something new and plenty of activities to get involved in.
