A fantastic choice of ciders. Staff are very friendly. Would definately highly recommend a visit. They had a hog roast out the back for £5 and it smelt amazing.

We go there every Saturday for a lunchtime pint, with hot snacks. They do great pasties and bar food. All home made food every day. It's now open every day,all day. Good atmosphere and warm and friendly place. Recommended to sample real ales and food.

Malt Shovel, Northampton. Brilliant pub with an amazing choice of real ale. Friendly hosts. Very good lunchtime meals detailed on specials board at around £6.

Visited for a few Sunday afternoon drinks with visitors from out of town. This is a good traditional pub with a great selection of beers. If you like pubs and remember how pubs used to be and should be then you will love The Malt...More

Arrived in Northampton for the rugby and visited this pub for a few pre match pints . Have been here before and love the great choice of Ales, same again on this visit . Great pub . Will definitely visit again
