The York Arms in my opinion is superb!
The food is excellent just take a look at the photo.
I had, Cumberland sausage & mash to eat with a lovely pint of Sam Smiths to wash it down with.

We popped in because I saw the sign outside advertising pies and I'm always partial to a cheese and potato pie. It is dog-friendly too. Staff were friendly and the food was tasty, we had a veg pie and a veg burger.
Decided to give this pub a try during a recent visit to York. If you want a traditional pub as opposed to the more modern wine bar concepts, then this is the place for you.
