Hidden away from view at the top of London St. is Norwich's most unique and well loved bar. The former ravecave kartel has grown up and transformed itself into Gonzo's Tea Room. Coffee Tea's and cakes by day, Bar/Lounge in the evening and often the furniture gets dragged away to create a dancefloor that goes well into the night closing at 3am weekdays and 3:30am weekends.

Visited for lunch on a Saturday when it was relatively quiet. Quirky and fun atmosphere. Both meat and vegetarian burgers went down well as did the Cajun fries they come with. Portions generous. Service was friendly and attentive.

I went one Sunday as a bit bored and a lilttle bit apprehensive as it looks so quirky and there was a man going in dressed as Fred Flintsone (as you do on a Sunday!) so wondered what I was going into. The staff were...More

We came to Gonzos after Christmas shopping, we both were starving. Ordered O.M.F.G burgers and they did not disappoint! Portions were massive. We also enjoyed grapefruit infused ale. Atmosphere was very relaxing, although it can get crowded quickly as space is quite limited. We came...More

Quirky, cosy, relaxing, the staff were friendly and the food was the tastiest I've had in a long time! Make sure you arrive hungry because the portion sizes are huge. Also they sell some great craft beer. My favourite sort of place.

Imagine this scenario: rainy evening, freezing wind and an hour to kill before dinner, so we decided to have drinks. Good jazz music was playing outside in the streets, luring us into the bar. Let's start with the decoration: the bar is furnished with comfortable...More

Looked promising from the outside and menu looked different. There was so much clutter mainly from American films and science fiction on the walls and counters. There is a glass ceiling which gives the impression of space. There was a raised seating area with three...More

We were taken by a friend to visit this charming Bohemian tea room. We were hoping to sit on one of the laid back loungers but sadly they were all taken. So we sat at the bar. This is a coffe shop that also sells...More

Went as a group of 6, all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the excellent food which is well priced. The Dirty Gurty was the best burger I've had in a long while. We will return 👍
