It was the end point of our Golden Travels Royal Walking Tour... The bronze statue of Field Marshall Earl Haig at Whaitehall Boelevard is a handsome one and is crossed by hundreds of people everyday... however, the statue is not without controversy...

An impressive statue of Hair. History has not been kind to the butcher of the Somme. However this is a nice statue.

IMHO General Haig was a butcher and not a hero, so it is upsetting to see this memorial in a prominent location in Whitehall. Of course he's on a horse looking noble. Oh, well, he is a historic figure.

In a beautiful area on the way to Trafalgar Square. It's a bronze statue commemorating one of the many World War 1 heroes. I believe this is right near the military headquarters.

Earl Haig Memorial is on the street. On the same street is located The Women of World War II so it is interesting to walk there.
