If you happen to be in the area, look no further: this is a truly hidden gem. It's pretty much buried under a suit shop, in a street which is near-deserted on week-ends. When we got to the door it's actually the smell of booze...More
On our visit to London was looking for a Speak easy bar. Came across this place and how glad we did. Quite small as you would expect. Bar staff fantastic. No one waiting for a drink for long. We also had the cheese board which...More
What can I say. It's the sort of place you don't want to say much about as to not spoil a first experience. It would truly be a disservice to talk about the interior, the array of unique drinks on offer, even the walk to...More
It’s been a while since I’ve been here and forgotten now why I stopped. It’s a great venue, very atmospheric and the staff are friendly, informed and decent. The cocktails are delicious and I love the options of all the locally produced alcohol.
Planned a visit as on a bit of a mission to go to as many cocktail bars in London as possible. This just happened to be first on the list and it didn’t disappoint.
I noticed another reviewer mentioned that the staff really seem to...More
We stayed round the corner and came upon this cute downstairs prohibition-style bar by luck on our way back to the hostel one night. We found the most amazing cocktails in purple and green colors, squishing wooden roof and people were so cool playing great...More
Places like this are excellent - cosy little basement with a great interior and service that is first class. We were the only ones in the bar which meant we had the barman's full attention the entire time we were there. The menu choice is...More

This was a recommendation from a friend who lives around the corner. Decided to book a table for NYE for myself and my boyfriend. Small place but full of atmosphere. Great staff and wonderful cocktails - we managed to get through a lot of the...More
We went here for a drink at about 11:00pm on Saturday night.
It is a quirky basement bar specialising in cocktails. The ceiling is low and it is a small place - so I wouldn’t recommend if you are claustrophobic.
I would definitely go back.
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a
cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
