About
Located along the Thames River, this iconic observation wheel offers unobstructed views from its glass pods. During the 30-minute ride, you'll be able to see London's well-known buildings like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and The Shard. On a clear day, you can see up to 25 miles from the top—where Windsor Castle is. Sunset views here are otherworldly, but nightfall views of the twinkling lights are great too. London Eye can be reached easily by taking the Tube to Waterloo station. You might want to buy fast-track passes online in advance to skip the queues. – Tripadvisor

    WORTH IT
The cue was efficient and we got there in no time. We were offered to have our photo taken then were promptly on our carriage. The views were brilliant. We saw Big Ben, the Shard, the BT Tower and Westminster Abby. There was plenty of space to move around and we were at the top before we knew it. When we were nearly finished there was a photo opportunity with a camera. Overall, great views, lots of fun and worth the price.
Thanks so much for the 5* review. Sounds like you really made the most of your trip to London, soaring through the heart of the city! Kind Regards, Sophia Customer Services Team The lastminute.com London Eye

    Check the weather
The problem with this is, it is much more $$$ to buy your ticket the same day, but it is totally not worth the money if the weather isn't clear. The day we went was very overcast and no sun so everything looked cloudy and hazy. So I'd say if you want the best experience pay the extra and make sure it's a clear day so your photos are good & you can see & enjoy more.

London Landmark for the 21st Century
Standing 135m tall with a diameter of 120m. London Eye was the Worlds Biggest Ferris Wheel. when constructed. The Containers that people ride in are ebclosed and Climate Controlled. We visited and rode in the Morning on a weekday to avoid crowds.

A whirlwind tour of London's skyline
It's a giant, fast-moving observation wheel, so we got a 360-degree perspective of London that changed with every second. We spotted tons of famous landmarks and even caught a glimpse of Buckingham Palace. If you want a breezy and unique way to check out the city, the London Eye is a great way to spend an afternoon.

    Third Ride
This was my third time traveling to London. Each time I have ridden on the London Eye, even for a Champaign flight (which was amazing). It's a great way to see the city from an aerial view. Each pod fits many people, so the boarding process is quick for the 30 min experience.
Sounds like you had a great time! We always love hearing about your flight through the heart of London. Come back and see us soon! Views this good never get old! Kind Regards, Sophia Customer Services Team The lastminute.com London Eye

    Beautiful attraction
Beautiful views from the ferris wheel. The journey takes about 20 minutes and is very relaxing. For people who have vertigo like me, the sensation is one of minimal risk and zero anxiety, it is a safe, stable attraction and the movement is almost negligible. The luxury views. I recommend buying tickets online to avoid lines and if you have little time, the direct timed tickets, a little more expensive, but worth it.

We didn’t go on it - but will try next time
The weather was “cracking the flags” the London eye must be the most £ grossed tourist attraction in London , it’s not cheap for the 30 min ride and now with the fast track it’s a bit more expensive . The queues are long , and the view are stunning - you know you can book the Sky Garden “ walkie-talkie building and it’s free. My words are only a opinion , the London Eye will continue to reap in the money ……whatever my opinion is .

    Beautiful view of London
The panoramic view of the city of London from the Ferris wheel is beautiful, especially on a sunny day. The climb provides a unique perspective of the city's most iconic landmarks, such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. The London Eye turns very slowly and the cabins are spacious. I recommend booking tickets in advance on the official website to avoid queues and make the most of the experience.

London eye, to discover London from above
It is a trip around the world in glass capsules with a 360-degree view of the city of London, of the Thames area more specifically. It is worth it especially if the day is not cloudy. At its highest point, it is estimated that it is about 130 meters high, so you can see interesting views of some of the most emblematic sites of the metropolis (Thamesis River, Westmister Bridge, Westmister Palace). It has 32 capsules and the tour lasts about thirty minutes. For those who are just starting to get to know London, I recommend doing it in tandem with the famous red double-decker buses that also complement each other as a good way to discover the city.
We appreciate you taking the time to write this review. We’ll take your feedback on board so that next time you fly with us your experience will be even more amazing. Kind Regards, Sophia Customer Services Team The lastminute.com London Eye

Definitely stunning views! We bought a two attraction ticket - London Eye & Madame Tussaud’s. It turned out far more economical to do this than to buy tickets to Madame Tussaud’s alone, so you could say the trip on the Eye was a bonus. The tricky thing was being asked for an entrance time for each attraction, particularly as we were relying on the hop on hop off bus to get to Madame Tussaud’s and back to the London Eye. That caused some stress! Naturally there were amazing views and there was very brief commentary giving us some indication of what we were seeing. However being first time visitors I would have much preferred a more comprehensive commentary without any assumption that I would recognise the various landmarks. We were fortunate not to have to queue too long (we arrived at 4 even though our booked time was 3 - because the bus took ages!) and we had lovely weather so these things made it ideal. I think this is something you should plan to do, but be aware that there can be wait times, and maybe take a map of your own. We were ushered into a cabin with more people than could be comfortably seated and although people stood up to look out the windows, it felt uncomfortable taking someone’s seat - and with a 30 minute trip, that’s also a consideration for some. Very helpful to note that there are toilets in the ticketing office near the Eye (but it doesn’t open until nearly 11am).

For a breathtaking view of London, the London Eye is a must-visit. This iconic Ferris wheel offers a 30-minute ride with panoramic views of the city’s skyline. To make the most of your visit, here are some tips:

Timing and Tickets:
Plan your visit for a clear day, ideally at sunset, to witness the city transition from day to night. Booking tickets online in advance can save you time and often includes discounts. Consider the Fast Track option to skip the lines. Using the C0DE RC7️⃣7️⃣7️⃣E in Trainpal can save a lot of money for you.

Getting There:
The London Eye is conveniently located on the South Bank of the Thames. The nearest tube station is Waterloo, just a short walk away. Alternatively, enjoy a scenic stroll along the river, taking in the vibrant atmosphere and street performances.

The Ride:
Each capsule provides a 360-degree view, so you won’t miss any landmarks. From the Houses of Parliament to St. Paul’s Cathedral, the sights are spectacular. For a special treat, opt for the Champagne Experience for a touch of luxury.

After the Ride:
Explore the surrounding area. Visit the SEA LIFE London Aquarium next door or take a walk to the Tate Modern. Enjoy a meal at one of the riverside restaurants, or simply relax by the Thames and soak in the ambiance.

Capture the moment with photos and cherish the memories. The London Eye is more than just a ride; it’s a unique way to experience the beauty and history of London. 🌆❤️

A bird's eye view of London? Why don't you! Attraction completed attention. Usually, there's big queues, but the staff work quickly, so the queue moves fast. To get into the capsule, you have to go through a metal detector and show the contents of the bag. I recommend checking the price of tickets online, there you can buy tickets in advance and cheaper than to do it locally!

This was supposed to be the highlight of my trip to London. I had been looking forward to it for almost a year. We bought advanced tickets with a time slot. Based on the queue we found when we arrived, they must have over booked every time slot since the eye had opened that morning. We had allotted 2 hours for the experience; a half hour for the ride itself, one hour for the line, and a half hour of wiggle room. It was not enough. After waiting in line for an hour, it was clear that we would not be able to fit the ride into our schedule, ( there were three separate queues that we needed to go through, one by the Eye, one across the street, and then one that wrapped around the park and we weren't even through the second one yet.) We went to the ticket office to try to get even a partial refund for our family of 5 (those tickets weren't cheap) but it was not an option, so we wasted over a hundred pounds for something we didn't even get a chance to do. HUGE waste of time and money. Such a disappointment. My advice would be to go as early in the morning as possible since the line gets backed up farther and farther every 15 minutes.

Hi there, Thanks for leaving a review about your trip to the lastminute.com London Eye. I’m sorry to hear your wait to get up in the sky was longer than expected. The London Eye, this magnificent Ferris wheel, is one of the most striking landmarks in London. It towers into the clouds and stands on the banks of the Thames River, like a brilliant pearl. As a tourist, when I first saw it with my own eyes, my heart was filled with shock and amazement.
Sitting in the slowly rising cabin, I felt like I was in a dreamlike world. As the altitude continued to rise, the magnificent scenery of the entire city of London gradually unfolded before my eyes. From Big Ben to Tower Bridge, from bustling commercial districts to peaceful parks, every place is unforgettable.
Especially at dusk, as the afterglow of the setting sun gradually dissipates, the lights on the London Eye gradually brighten up, complementing the surrounding scenery and forming a beautiful picture. At that moment, I felt like I was in a fairy tale world, experiencing unparalleled romance and warmth.
I bought a railcard on trainpal and got a 20% discount when I entered the RC777E code! Hope to help those who come to the UK to play~
Whether it's the clear view during the day or the dazzling lights at night, the London Eye has left a deep impression on me. It is one of the most unforgettable memories of my trip to London and also my most beautiful memory of this city.

It is what it is. A big Ferris style wheel above London. The organisation here is at least well polished and professional (compared to, well, nearly everything else we did this week) and you feel safe and secure. We had a 5:45pm slot, which was the last slot of the day and as a result the man loading the pods placed out family of five in our own pod. This made for a really special time as a family enjoying the flight and views of London and allowed a nice calm chilled experience. I would definitely recommend booking later on in the day as when we arrived at the Southbank around 10am it looked fairly busy then.

We were initially hesitant to book the London Eye Wine Experience, as London’s weather is typically wet and overcast. Fortunately, the weather was clear enough for us to enjoy the breathtaking views, making this experience even more memorable.

While the $90 per person price tag is more than double the cost of the standard experience, it was worth every penny. The standard package includes a single rotation with 25 people, but this VIP experience offered so much more: access to the exclusive VIP lounge, fast-track entry, two rotations, a smaller group of just 15 people, and the highlight—the wine tasting.

Leona, our wine expert, was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, guiding us through six wines from around the world. Her passion for wine made the experience both educational and enjoyable. Owen, a London Eye staff member, was equally attentive, pointing out landmarks and ensuring we made the most of the stunning views.

Overall, the combination of intimate service, a relaxed atmosphere, and the unique wine experience made this an unforgettable outing. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their London Eye visit!

I enjoy visiting the London Eye when I am in London and their views are lovely.

However, during my latest visit in June 2023, I purchased 3 commemorative mugs. I have several generations of the mugs and these ones are simply poor quality. After just one wash, the mug is chipped and ceramic embossed design cracking.

I contacted the Guest Services over a month ago and they are incredibly slow to respond. Each email has had a 5-10 day lag in between.

They offered to send a new mug, which was appreciated, but can’t send to an international destination (only UK and some Europe). I opted to have one mug sent to a European address for forwarding but wanted to purchase another mug so it wasn’t a dreadfully expensive exercise. They simply have no means of any remote purchasing and can only offer a refund. We reached this point after a month or so of discussion.

Terrible product, terrible customer service. Incredibly disappoints.

Hi there, Thanks for leaving a review about your trip to the lastminute.com London Eye. I’m sorry to hear you had an issue with one of our Mugs we have been sure to pass this feedback onto the Senior Retail Manager at the attraction. Due to the large number of queries, we get the team reply as fast as they can but we do advise guests that it can be up to 7 working days for them to get back to you due to the volume of emails they receive. Unfortunately, we don't offer an online retail store for guests to be able to repurchase items, but I have passed this on for something that could be looked into for future changes to the attraction. Well worth doing when the weather cooperates. We were there on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon and had a great view. It was very crowded, but they did a pretty good job of organizing the lines. As others have mentioned, the time on your ticket is the time you are "allowed" to get in line. Because it was so crowded, they were sending different time groups to separate roped off areas to queue. Ultimately that worked well. I was a little jealous of the fast track people, and it may be worth it if you're solo or maybe a couple., but it gets very expensive for a family.

I think they say they put 25 people in each pod, but we had 30. It looked like the fast track groups had under 20. Even with 30 people we were able to easily move around the pod and get all of the photos we wanted.

We were there on an extremely hot day, and I was concerned that inside the pod would feel like an oven despite the claims of air conditioning. Happy to say that wasn't the case. If you stand on either side of the pod you can be in the direct AC flow, but even at the ends it was cool enough.

Within my group, we had one person who is afraid of heights and another who suffers from motion sickness. I'm happy to say neither had any problems on the London Eye. The wheel moves so slowly that motion wasn't a problem (the pods don't move freely), and no problem with the height.

It is located south of the River Thames, being the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe at 135 meters high. It is shaped like a bicycle wheel and is supported by steel cables. It has 32 egg-shaped capsules and capacity for 28 people. It was opened to the public in 2000. It takes about 30 minutes to go around it completely and you can have the best views of London. Even though there are always many people, everything is well organized and done very quickly. In the place where you can buy tickets there are bathrooms in perfect condition and a place to eat or have something to drink. Being close to this giant symbol of the city is the photo that cannot be missed on our trip.
