Nice place to walk around, lots of history, dogs allowed in some areas. But it can be tricky if your dog wants to spray on the graves. Also the tombs are so interesting, you can see the coffins through the gated bars. Also Sherlock Holmes...More

I have not been here for many years. Whilst the graves have not changed there is now a posh cafe at the North gate and there are a few interesting information boards dotted about explaining the history of the cemetery as well as the symbolism...More

My family and I were walking back to our hotel and we took a route through this cemetery. It’s very large and serene but sad because of the neglect a lot of the headstones have received. Some are completely covered in grass while others are...More

Brompton Cemetery is a 2 minute walk from West Brompton Station, District Line. I went to visit after reading an article which explained that the cemetery has been partly restored and new facilities added after extra funding was received. Volunteers, too, have played a big...More

Another important cemetery to visit. We had filmed while at college in the grounds. We had an absolutely wonderful time yet back then it was more safe. Revisiting the grounds again after decades it is still the same, peaceful and quiet. It is always the...More

I spent today at the cemetery with a friend looking at the Commonwealth War Graves. It was bucketing down with rain so there weren't very many people around. Perhaps that's why we didn't feel particularly safe. Things started off well with tea in the North...More

There is no fee to pay to walk around the cemetery. It is unusual in that it is both a place for burials and a public park.
