We took a private tour with our older children of Avebury, StoneHenge, to quote a friend who had done the bus, "just piles of rocks"? (not even close to what this tour covers)
Years ago I visited both on my own, interesting but a little...More
This is my second time and family's first time to visit Stonehendge, Bath, and Avebury. I really researched a lot prior to signing up. Since I remember my last tour (with another smaller company), I really wanted an indepth explaination of these historic locations. I...More
Very interesting full day tour with knowledgeable professionals. This time we got the real stuff, not warmed up mumbo-jumbo us tourists usually get. Time spent each place was adequately long enough yet fully occupied, we never got rushed.
This tour was awesome. The things I loved most about it were that the number of people on the tour was very limited so you were not competing to hear your guide. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable not only from an archaeological perspective but also...More
We had an amazing tour in October 2018 to Stonehenge, Bath, and Avebury! Edward was a fantastic guide who shared his insight and knowledge with humor and enthusiasm. Our small group meant we could have conversations about the sites instead of questions and lectures. It...More
We went on the Stonehenge, Salisbury and Avebury Tour in June 2017. Our informative guide and the small group experience made the day highly enjoyable. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions. Pick up point was easy to find and...More
A marvellous experience to visit Stonehenge, Bath and Avebury with an experienced archaeologist! Thank you to Edward our archaeologist/tour leader (and George our excellent driver) for a wonderful day full of current theories and interesting speculation about Stonehenge and Avebury and the peoples who built...More
Stone Henge and Avebury are 4500 year old sites of the first inhabitants of this area. A trip there without a guide is largely wasted, the average time on site has been quoted as 20 minutes and I believe it. The sites don't come alive...More
Our family of 5 went out on a small tour with full time archaeologist and part time entertainer and tour guide Edward Shepard (who yes does come from a family of sheep herders). If you are deciding between this tour with about a dozen people...More
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

I basically agree with the two other responders. For me, Stonehenge was the first priority, and then Avebury (great together). Bath was not special for me, but I was looking to see the prehistoric, so that was my focus. Had great lunch at Seafoods Fish and Chips (recommendation of guide) in Bath. You certainly want to include Avebury/SiIbury Hill; not giving up anything, but adding on a great "must see," the reason I choose this tour. My Aussie friend who lives/works in London told me I had to go to Avebury if I went to Stonehenge. I don't think you will regret this tour, being with small group, private guide.
