I’ve seen full parades in former visits, so the changing of the horse guards was not awe inspiring as the parades are, but they still provide a glimpse into the majesty of British tradition. The crowd came and went between the changing, so we were...More

For someone coming from a country that we rarely see horses, this is really an interesting sight. We didn’t bother to book any tour as we made our way there before 11am and waited for the horse guards to turn out. Enjoy!

Included with the London Pass, otherwise would not pay to see it. See some horses and the guard museum. That's it.

You cannot beat Britain for pomp and pageantry: my wife and I saw the changing of the guard at Whitehall, and enjoyed the spectacle. Be there before 11 a.m. for the best views, as it is fairly crowded. Both the guardsmen and horses are spectacular.

Parade starts at Whitehall. You can try to keep up with the horses but good luck. Instead, once they leave, just head straight down the Mall where they eventually walk down as well as they head toward the palace gate. Very cool, very prestigious. A...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
