Nothing special. It is super busy and in my opinion smelly and dirty. If you intend to visit Brixton village it's certainly worth to walk the avenue but personally, I do not know what the big fuss is. It's a road that sells a lot...More

The only really interesting aspect of this 'attraction' is probably its history - and perhaps the coloured sign which marks it out. We could see the back of this sign from our hotel room so decided to wander along the avenue to see what we...More

Like many I'd heard about this place only as a bit of 80s pop culture. Not sure what it was like back then, now its a completely average to below average London street with about as uninteresting a market as you can get.

The Electric Avenue is located just 2 minutes' walk away from the Brixton Tube Station. Having heard about its former grandeur in late 19th Century when this stretch of street became the first market street to be electrically lit one will expect to see at...More

Full of vendors selling all sorts of bric brac and produce. Was expecting something with more character. The Brixton Village market was slightly better. Nothing much to buy shopping wise but the food selection is varied

Legendary road in Brixton. Always lots going on. Be it during the day with the Market or at night with the many pubs, bars, and restaurants nearby.
