Long anticipated visit in late afternoon, the tour was enjoyable and led by a very knowledgeable guide telling the fascinating history of the Globe. A must do for anybody slightly interested in Shakespeare or theatre. There were some students practicing their acting skills on the...More

I’ve often walked past the Globe and thought to myself, ‘I must go there sometime’ and yesterday was that time. Treated to a tour by friends, we were both educated and entertained by our guide Matt, who brought not only Shakespeare, but 16th Century London...More

Watched a wonderful performance of "Emilia" on a cool, rainy evening in August. It was a delight sitting on a rented cushion, wrapped in a rented blanket while sipping hot chocolate and tea.

This was very poor. Basically a tour involves a visit to a rather wordy exhibition and then another wordy visit to the Globe, ie you get taken into the Globe, sat down and then given a talk about theatre in Shakespeare's day and anyone asking...More

We came over here from London Tower on the water bus, which in and of itself is pretty cool. The Globe has a museum underneath talking about plays back in Shakespeare's day and the guided tour. Both are worth the money, our guide was excellent...More

We were fortunate enough to have Jeremy as our guide. His uniquely theatrical translation of this beautiful replica made the walls, stalls and stage come alive and gave each of us a sense of being there among Shakespeare's hordes of 'Stinkards'. A special experience indeed.

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
