Interesting and excellent views from the walkways. The glass floor looking down to the bridge is great. We bought a ticket which included the Monument which is only a short walk from the bridge. Visit the engine room too.
The first I went to tower bridge I actually drove over it ... I filmed the whole experience ... then the next day I walked over it ... it had so much history attached to it it’s amazing... it’s was a pretty exciting feeling

We were able to take the lift up and down to the walkways, so we totally avoided the stairs. Walking across each of the two walkways is not that far, and you can take your time. It is well worth the walk. The visit to the pump room does require more walking, but that is something you can choose to skip if you are too tired or unable to finish the tour. Since it is a self-guided tour, taking your time and using the lift should make everything accessible for you. Just ask when you are getting tickets about the lift and they will show you the way.
