This statue of Nelson Mandela sits in Parliament amongst other prominent British and Commonwealth leaders. Nothing much needs to be said about the great man except that it's right that we should offer a place in Parliament Square. The statue is larger than life and...More

Rather modest statue opposite Westminster Abbey. Set in a collection of other important figures from modern world history

Nelson Mandela's statue is one of the newer ones on the square. It's lower, making it easier to see the detail on the great man. An apt addition to this square.

Really lovely statue of an amazing man, located next to loads of other statues of leading historical figures- Winston Churchill and Abraham Lincoln, to name a few! Nice passing visit if you're nearby, which you might be since the statue is across from Westminster Abbey...More

Installed in 2007 this statue bars a good resemblance of the former Sa leader. Worth a visit and to see it to. Not the best statue at Parliament Square though.

We stumbled on the statue. I didn't know it was there. We were all gratified and happy to see it and so of course took pictures. A fitting way to honor a remarkable man.

A statue of the great man who was held captive for years before being released and going on to become president of South Africa. To be honest not the best statue.

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
