10 out of 10. Bit be warned.. don't sup,,, sip
This is our first rime here and we had the warmest welcome from Ivan. The menu was explained and samples given, as I had no clue what to choose. The fruit cider I had is strong (be warned) but delicious. Reasonable prices and the other 2 members of staff where also a delight. Thank you sadie and Chris😊 10 out of 10 for me

    Americans in Liverpool
A very unique beer bar in the heart of Liverpool. We stumbled (we had been drinking) upon this location while on route to another pub. I’m glad we stopped because the selection of American and English craft beer is amazing. The bar tenders at the time were both Americans which by the way we are also. The owners ( who are English) were on holiday. Alice and the guy from Chicago who’s name I missed were amazing. Thank you for being friendly to travelers from afar. By the way if your bar owners need a tour of American east coast micro breweries they need to contact me. I’m on untapped as TrainGod716. Again thanks for a great visit.

    Great micropub in LIverpool
Second stop on our food and drink break in Liverpool. Choice of craft beer, cider and cans was amazing ... my wife chose the organic perry brewed by Sam Smiths in Tadcaster while I went for the pilsner brewed in Sweden - absolutely superb quality. Unfortunately we only had time for one as we had another three bars to sample during our hectic schedule - highly recommended.

    Very good craft beer place.
The first of 8 craft beer bars I visited during my short stay in Liverpool, and definitely one of the better ones. An excellent choice of beers on tap, but only two local ones during my visit. I always prefer to sample the local brews. The barman (possibly owner) has an excellent knowledge of craft beers. Being a user of the Untappd app would benefit you here as beer menus aren't always available.

    Beers galore!
A classic bar in an interesting building with individual touches. It wasn't busy as it was the middle of the afternoon, but we really enjoyed the drinks from the excellent selection on offer. We tried a number of items between us, including some IPA's some Sours and a fruit beer too - all very tasty. Many were served as 1/3 pint or 2/3 pint which suited us perfectly. I would have given the bar 5 stars except there was no food on offer (a real shame). Will however definitely visit them again.

    A great craft beer location
While there does not seem to be a lot of choice in good craft beer locations in Liverpool, this one is excellent. The quality and range of the beers on offer was only matched by the enthusiasm of the owners. Would love to return when visiting Liverpool again.

    Great craft beer selection
A good craft beer bar with a varied selection of 20 draft beers sold in 1/3 and 2/3 measures which is good if you want to try a few which we did! A little bit of a walk from the city centre but worth it. Outside seating was available.

Absolute gem for beer and new friends
Fantastic place if you like, or even *might* like, beer. The staff were tripping over themselves to help us and provide their own personal recommendations from the available beers (20 taps, 130 different cans in the fridge). We popped in for 'one or two', and left with more than three friends. Cannot recommend enough. "Be friendly, make family" - as they say.

Lovely little spot! Must stop by
What a gem! Been here twice now, an unbelievable selection of ales and plenty of variety - from pale ales to stouts to sours etc. - all amazing quality as well, there's something for everyone! Service has also been great, shoutout to Gareth who was very welcoming, charming and helped us decide what we were ordering! If you like a quality drink you absolutely have to stop by.

It was raining outside and we were ready to go back to the hotel. Then we went to this pub. The barman was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. The beer was interesting and tasted great. Made our day. We will be back.

We usually love this place, but we made a special trip over last night as havent had the chance over xmas and new year, only to find it was closed, on a Thursday night??! It said it was open online, then when you check out the social media page all it displays is what seems like the owners jet setting around the globe and no details about the actual bar and opening/closing times. Would hate to see a great, unique place like this close because of complacency as things like this is really off putting. We spent £70 in Brewdog instead as a result.

Thank you for your comments. Firstly so sorry for being closed. As January is a hard month for the hospitality industry we can't afford to keep the doors open for the first week of January, as much as we'd love to. We do update Google and all of our social media platforms but if in doubt it's always worth dropping us a message to confirm, we can always respond whether we're in the UK or across the globe! You are correct though, we were jet setting off around the globe after a very busy December and to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Las Vegas. Whether we're in the country or not we have a great team who run the bar when we're not around and they also deserve a few days off to celebrate Christmas and New Year. I'm sure Brewdog were very grateful for your £70 though.

Been here many times. The beer on offer is incredible. The only thing that lets it down is the strange no standing policy which the barman called a "no vertical drinking" policy. Must be the latest middle class hipster thing. Either that or they don't know covid is over.

As you've been here many times before you'll have seen how small we are. We have 7 tables and a very small walk way to get through. We're not middle class. We're not hipster. After struggling through covid we're quite aware, probably more than most after struggling to stay open during a very traumatic time. We just like to drink comfortably, is that a crime?! I feel like you mustn't have travelled far if you think standing is "strange" as you put it. If you go to a bar in Belgium, Spain, Sweden and a ton more you would never stand, it's just not a thing and it's just not our thing either. There incident you're referring to you could see we were at capacity. We can't magic up space and we certainly don't want our customers to feel uncomfortable with a big group of people hanging over them and getting in their space. We like to have a relaxed atmosphere in the bar and not have people packed in. If you plan on coming down with a big group then drop us a message and we can save you a spot, it's really as simple as that. Maybe you'd prefer a bar that likes to pack people in, have you tried Concert Square or Matthew Street?

The bar is aptly named as it quotes prices in one third and two thirds measures. However, yesterday the beer prices ranged from £9 a pint to £15 a pint. Is there a competition for the most expensive bar in Britain? This place (and their poor toilet facilities) must be in with a shout. I will not be back.

You're obviously not familiar with craft beer that has been airfreighted over from America. I guess from your comments you're used to drinking big corporate craft. The beers that you were talking about had not only been flown over from New York but were 15% Imperial Stouts which we would never serve as a pint, that's like asking for a pint of Whisky! Of our 20 taps we have a price range for everyone, sadly your eyes were drawn to the pricier beers, a bit like when you look at the top shelf of a whisky bar. I think you'll find that we are priced the same as any reputable specialist craft beer bar, you get what you pay for and just because you think it's expensive doesn't mean we are to deprive our loyal customers of something special. Some of theses beers we have the only keg in the country. As for the toilets I have no idea what you're talking about. We have many compliments about the cleanliness and how pretty they are. We have strawberry and bubble gum handwash, apple spiced airfresheners, beautifully decorated with our favourite pump clips. I'm so sorry we don't have a toilet attendant spraying you with aftershave and handing you a paper towel. Maybe try one of the fancy bars round the corner where you'll get all that and a big pint of AB inbev beer!
