Just piped in for a beer. Great reception by a lovely lady (she quotes "The little gobby one"). Tiles are amazing and I'sure if you are (I'm not) a bitter drinker, you will totally love this place.

Had a lick of paint to celebrate its reopening, but it's still the same Lion really. The range of beers is not as wide as it used to be but it's still good. Sadly, it still seemed to be very quiet and under-appreciated.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and didn't rush us out at closing time. It's a traditional pub with a good range if beers.

I visited The Lion Tavern after hearing it had recently undergone a refurbishment. It's a beautiful pub but very clearly badly run. The bar man seemed very irritable and rude. My friends and I felt like we were being a nuisance simply because we came...More
