This pub is a proper old drinking house rather than a modern trendy pretentious place. We found it by chance and were so pleased we did. It is quite small and is tucked away on a little side street. It had a homely feel and...More

Step back in time in this lovely little pub which exudes atmosphere. Went there just to see what it was like as my father had lived there during WW2. Staff very friendly and welcoming . Smallest pub I have ever visited but big on atmosphere...More

We went to the pub thinking it looked interesting and quaint. Upon entering the pub, it did seem quiet and a little unusual but we proceeded to order a round of drinks. I found the barmaid had an attitude and rather rude. She felt the...More

Never mind all the tourist rip off joints. If you want a real taste of Liverpool in a proper pub; go here. Nothing remarkable - except for a sloping floor which must help punters roll out of the door - but it's genuine. Regular's make...More

When I first stepped inside The Globe, a day ago, it reminded me of the old Post House in Cumberland Street, a very cosy, nostalgic place. Unfortunately, for such a beautiful looking old style pub, there are few seats. It's not a two up, two...More
